Well, with the book coming off the printers tomorrow, I thought I’d do a small contest.

So - the first person to send me a picture of Machinima for Dummies on shop shelves somewhere wins a free copy of the book, signed by me and Johnnie.

Yea, we love SL. You guys can do the SL circuit.. it will be waaaay more fun than the RL tours.
You can use the ThinC press to make SL versions (10 meters high) and have SL sightings. I’ll be pushing your book in my paper at the IFLA world library & info congress in Durban, S. Africa in a couple of weeks.

P.S.: Think about getting every library in the country to pick it up… and the Second Life libraries… I’ll write a review for the library journals.

A signing in Second Life? You crazy kids! What will they think of next, etc.

It’s an awesome idea. I’ll pitch it to Hugh and see what we can do.

I love SL. Any game with a native linux client is OK in my book. (Hey, I actually do have a book now! I can say that without it being a trite cliche!)

Hey Hugh, will you be doing signings in Second Life or at the machinima track at SLCC 2007? In Second Life would be great!! We come out for air to visit machinim.com and machinima.org - so you would be doing us second lifers a great favour. Congratulations on your book! Think about a signing at the Information Archipelago (Second Life Library/Info Island, Machinima Institute, etc.) in SL.
