      <title>Microsoft Game Content Usage Rules</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;OK, so I promised that I was going to write a piece this week on the new &lt;a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/developer/rules.htm"&gt;Microsoft Game Content Usage Rules&lt;/a&gt; for using its engines to make Machinima.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m still working on it. However: &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;ve just discovered that the wording of the Halo EULAs, in particular, is very different to what I thought it was. I&amp;#8217;ve had to ask Fred von Lohmann of the EFF to take a look at those and see what the legal ramifications are. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;It looks like I might have a chance to chat to the architects of the Rules next week. That&amp;#8217;s obviously Very Good News, and I&amp;#8217;m going to hold off on the column until they&amp;#8217;ve had a chance to give me their side of the story. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sorry for the delays - I&amp;#8217;ll be commenting on and hopefully clarifying this (huge) development for Machinima soon! &lt;/p&gt;</description>
