EDIT - Oh, knackers. Looks like this isn’t actually true, just someone’s fantasy (see comments). Cheapest option for Mocap remains Ipisoft. Dammit.

Ooh! Looks like a major player’s getting into the cheap mocap game - Adobe have just announced a suite named “Gollum” which will perform mocap using the Project Natal cameras.

Cost? $400. Time? No idea.

BenZS, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Tech-hunch is not a Rumor site. Adobe is not actually making a mocap suite (that I know of). The point of the post, and the entire blog, is to say what companies could and SHOULD be doing. I want to see a mocap suite taking advantage of Natal as much as you do.

Hopefully, if the site grows enough, the interest sparked by these ideas, will actually get companies to develop them.
